Pathology of the Ex-Gay Movement

Research question: Should gays and lesbians be allowed to get married?

PIETRZYK, MARK E. "Pathology of the Ex-Gay Movement." The Gay & Lesbian Review Worldwide 7.3 (2000): 32. InfoTrac Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Issues Collection. Web. 10 Nov. 2011.

Summary:

This article talks about the religious people who made advertisements for "hope and healing" for gays, and talking about "es-gays" who have seen the error of their ways.  But further research into these "ex-gays" shows that they really aren't "cured" at all, and are still exhibiting homosexual behavior. It contains a list of things that would make someone prone to homosexuality, according to the religious leaders, and how outrageous this list is.

Conclusion:

The article was somewhat useful for my topic.  It didn't really talk about marriage specifically, but it talked about other rights they have.
